Queen of the Sea cruises depart from Caernarfon and offer a different view of the castle, coast and Menai Strait. The operator, Menai Strait Cruises, advertises shorter sightseeing trips and occasional longer cruises. These are independently operated boat trips, not a Tripaholics service.
The Menai Strait separates Anglesey from the mainland of North Wales. Its strong tidal waters, historic bridges and coastal scenery are an important part of the area’s character.

The Menai Strait is not only a popular destination for tourists but also an important waterway for commercial shipping and maritime activities. It continues to be an essential part of the cultural and natural heritage of North Wales.
The operator’s daily sailing page gives the latest shorter trips. Tickets for those trips are currently sold at the booking hut rather than through advance reservations. For two-hour cruises, contact the operator in advance; the bridges and Llanddwyn routes go in different directions.
Sailing times change with tides and weather. Check the live schedule before leaving home and allow for a longer return if conditions affect the crossing.
Evening and special sailings are offered only when advertised by the operator.
Contact the operator about boarding with a wheelchair or pushchair before travelling: access depends on tide and the toilet is reached by steps. Do not assume every departure will be accessible.

Hi there, I have just seen your guide to off the beaten track places to explore on Anglesey… we have recently opened our eco campsite Ynys Môn À Mõr on the West Coast situated in an AONB, its a very undiscovered and quiet area compared to the more touristy towns and villages.
