Our Experience
Our one-night stay at Ynys Môn À Mõr was a memorable experience from start to finish. Here’s a snapshot of our adventure:
Arrival: We were warmly welcomed by the campsite hosts, who provided us with all the information we needed for our stay. We were given a tour around the campsite and shown the hidden ‘Fairy Glen’ in the woodlands. The hosts told us how children love to play here and read stories.

They emphasized the importance of eco-conscious living during our visit and gave us tips on how to make the most of our time on the island.
Bertie the Yurt: Our eco yurt, Bertie, exceeded our expectations. The wood-burning stove kept us warm as we enjoyed a cozy evening indoors, and the comfortable bed ensured a restful night’s sleep.

The small kitchen area was well-equipped for preparing simple meals, which we enjoyed while gazing at the starlit sky through the yurt’s central see through top.

Exploration: The next morning, we set out to explore the campsite’s surroundings. A short walk led us to the stunning coastal cliffs, where we were treated to panoramic views of the Irish Sea. The feeling of being so close to nature was invigorating, and we relished every moment of it.

Sustainability: Ynys Môn À Mõr’s commitment to sustainability was evident in every aspect of our stay. We diligently followed their eco-friendly guidelines, practicing responsible waste disposal and mindful consumption. It was a refreshing change of pace to live in harmony with nature for a night. The composting toilet and shower area (pictured below) feature a range of Eco-Friendly products to use. The shower is a basic on/off but it is very good!
